My nighttime skincare routine is designed to deeply cleanse, treat, and hydrate my skin for a rejuvenating overnight experience. I start with a double cleanse to ensure every trace of makeup, sunscreen, and daily impurities is thoroughly removed. The oil-based cleanser dissolves makeup and excess sebum, which helps prevent clogged pores and breakouts. Following this, the foaming cleanser provides a deeper clean by removing any remaining residue, ensuring that my skin is perfectly prepped for the next steps.
Once my skin is clean, I focus on treatment and hydration. I alternate between using retinol and exfoliation to target various skin concerns. Retinol, applied twice a week, accelerates cell turnover, which helps to smooth fine lines, even out skin tone, and improve overall texture. Exfoliation, also twice a week, removes dead skin cells and unclogs pores, preventing dullness and promoting a radiant complexion. On nights when I skip these treatments, I use hydrating products to replenish moisture and maintain skin balance. I finish with Vanicream moisturizer, which locks in hydration and is gentle on sensitive skin, and Castor oil, which enhances moisture retention and supports skin repair with its rich, nourishing properties. This routine helps to keep my skin clear, smooth, and deeply hydrated, ensuring I wake up with a refreshed and healthy complexion.
